Rabbit-Force Subs - for the sake of six billion humans' peace and happiness, we, The Rabbit-Force, bring you HQ anime!

i'm a..carrot!

Err, I mean - I'm a life! No, wait - I'm ALIVE! Yep, that's OK.

A big gome~en to all how have been waiting - I bring you:
[Rabbit-Force] Rurouni Kenshin ~Tsuioku Hen~ [DVD H264 VORBIS]!
Finally, after Haruhi knows how much time, I finished that OVA.. ;;OTL
Some info about the release:
Video: H264 (bitrate ~1100 - 1600 kbps), R2 source
Audio: Vorbis -q 8 (that gives ~256 kbps)
Subtitles: based on R1 release, improved, in some cases, vastly ;o + the usual - styling, notes, etc

The bitrate for the video could have been lower, but, meh, it's just a 4 episode OVA, plus it deserves the best quality... While the video looks better than the R1 releases, it could have been better, had I the actual R2 DVDs.. (I had to cope with some RAWs ;_;). The audio on the other hand was AC3 640 kbps, so no complains there :P
As for the subs - the R1 ones suck so much, I was thinking of dropping the project, but I somehow managed with them.. the are some parts though, that could have been better..

thank you very nice release. Is it necessary to watch the series before watching this ova?

by igro @ 16 Jan 2008 08:51 pm
Actually, the OVA precedes the TV series, at least in chronological terms. If you want to know about to Kenshin's past, watch the OVA. If you want keep on wondering about it, watch the TV series up to ep 62 and then the OVA. Note however that the OVA KICKS ASS BIG TIME and is in a completly different league than the TV series - in all aspects. So you might not enjoy the TC series that much afterwards.. ;p

by atg @ 16 Jan 2008 10:33 pm
Yeah, I couldn't watch the tv series anymore after seeing the OVA... :)

I have a problem where the audio is playing ahead of the video. So I'll hear someone speaking and then afterwards the subs come up and the video shows the person speaking. It doesnt happen right away but it happens slowly, so the sound slowly gets ahead of the video. Anyone got any ideas for how to fix this?

I think that your computer is too slow for these encodes. So what would help is getting a faster CPU. It might also help if you run a registry cleaner and CrapCleaner, for example. Those would remove some unneeded stuff and thus increase the speed of your PC.

Use coreavc if your comp can't handle it.

OK, play time is over kids - fagcornblitz (71.234.xx.yy) and fagcornblitz, yourannoyingkid, Strider XX (195.242.xx.yy) have been banned for being such retards... >_>
CornBlitz, sorry you had to bear with those stupid comments m(_ _)m

PS: if the people banned feel they are innocent/whatever, join our IRC chan and explain yourself there :P

Hehe, wassup Igro :)

Guess I can't agree with U this time. For me the OVA's are quite bad compared to the TV series. Mostly the final 2 OVA's, that's true, but I prefer the drawing style of the TV series (of course, those eps with GOOD animation :D)

Hope we could see more DVDrips of the TV series soon. Thx.
