Rabbit-Force Subs - for the sake of six billion humans' peace and happiness, we, The Rabbit-Force, bring you HQ anime!

moar carrots!

OK, here's the batch I've had prepared for like a week...

A big, fat (?) batch - Rurouni Kenshin 01 - 05 (including the new and improved version *2* of episode 1).

I've followed a few suggestions and improved here and there (better fonts, colors, hopefully..).

Specs: the usual, R2J source, vorbis 192 kbps audio (Japanese audio only, of course :P), everything softsubbed, karaoke, notes, all the pretty colours...

Enjoy and look forward to another releases!

Thank You for the release. Keep up the good work

by Sal @ 16 Jun 2007 04:24 pm
One question. Do you sub the releases yourself?

by igro @ 16 Jun 2007 05:26 pm
The subs are based on the R1 translations - I check them, fix the suffixes (-chan, -dono, etc.), add notes and do some other things you can't notice :D

by Sal @ 17 Jun 2007 03:40 pm
LOL @ [ do some things you can't notice ]

by CornBlitz @ 18 Jun 2007 04:40 am

by Sal @ 18 Jun 2007 01:46 pm
As of now, are you planning on finishing the series?

by igro @ 19 Jun 2007 11:14 am
@CornBlitz: the Movie has been released in quite high quality by some other groups so I'm not that keen on subbing that. The OVAs... we'll see wink

@Sal: yes I am ^_^

by DesoNoto @ 19 Jun 2007 07:00 pm
What groups have subbed the movie in high quality? wassat

by Sal @ 19 Jun 2007 09:23 pm
"the Movie has been released in quite high quality by some other groups" there are so many groups who did the movie. If you don't mind, which group do you recommend?

by igro @ 20 Jun 2007 01:04 am
To tell you the truth, I have never watched Rurouni Kenshin The Movie :o But I have the Baka-Anime's version - it's the newest, uses H264 as a video codec, so the quality should be OK ;) No karaoke, nice fonts and carrots, though :(

by CornBlitz @ 22 Jun 2007 01:16 am
i have the original dvd of the movie but it has lots of grain and its a mess

in anycase B-A looks like a choice...

could u perhaps upload it on megaupload for us... wink

by draickin @ 02 Jul 2007 03:43 pm
I have a question. Why did you upload those eps on megaupload? Did you run out of carrots or sth? I think that you uploaded a version of the first episode on rapidshare in parts. Is it possible to do that on MediaFire? I hope I'm not asking for much crying

by peetah @ 03 Jul 2007 10:20 am
thanks for doing these, but why is it that most of the time the surname is put before the first name (like the way is should be in Japanese) and the rest first name before surname (like in Western society)?

Also, when adding the notes at the top, sometimes there's a ( ). For instance, ep 5 10:55, Aku ( ) - . I'm guessing the hiragana/kanji is supposed to go there but its not comming up for me at least. Any one else getting this as well?

Thanks again for providing these in such good quality.

by igro @ 03 Jul 2007 07:29 pm
Ehhh, some many things to explain... orz
draickin, because everyone wanted Megaupload. Rapishare is in parts because it only allows 100 MB files..
peetah, obviously you didn't install Japanese fonts (?) so you can't view the Japanese characters in the comments (the karaoke is a diffferent thing - I added a custom Japanese font to the file for it). Follow the guide and install the Japanese fonts...
And I don't understand where you are going with the whole surname, name thing - I put like I hear them in the audio track, which is like it's in Japan - surname first :/

by peetah @ 03 Jul 2007 11:07 pm
Thanks for the reply irgo
regarding the name thing, take a look at episode 5 4:06 when they're talking about adopting a surname. The sudio track says Sagara Sanosuke and it is subbed Sanosuke Sagara. I noticed this a few times. You probably just missed it when fixing up the R1 translastions I'm guessing.

by draickin @ 04 Jul 2007 02:13 pm
I got that rapidshare has a 100 MiB limit but so does MediaFire if I'm not mistaken. Is rapidshare better? I don't even know, I'm just asking 'cause I was very pleased from MediaFire (also I heard that you have to wait some time before you download a second file from rapidshare, or you can alternatively reset your IP to be able to download right after the first file. Is that true? Anyhow, thx for responding smile

by igro @ 04 Jul 2007 02:50 pm
Yes, you have to wait some time (60 - 90 minutes, or sth like that) to download the next file from Rapidshare. However the speeds are great - 3 MB/s wink But if you have to wait...
peetah, yeah, I'm fixing the subs myself, and I migh have missed a name here or there >_<;

by Tony K. @ 29 Jul 2007 05:54 am
A decent release. Video quality is by far the best, but I'm a little irked by the translations and subbing. Then again, I read the manga not too long ago, and aside from a few translations choices, everything from the honorifics to name order is pretty much perfect. I recommend you try to adapt more of that into the script if you have them available for comparison. Keep up the great work wink!

by RK fan @ 16 Sep 2007 11:33 pm
Hey are u planning to release the DIRECTOR'S CUT OVAS? (TSUIOKUHEN AND SEISOUHEN)
Nobody's done those in h264, which is an absurd! Me want to see cute little kenshin!!! smile
